We know we've been away from this blog for a very long time but we're finally back and have all the will to stay here for long... so much has changed from the last time: Corrado and I have decided to change our lives and "to plant a lot of olive trees". We've resigned from our jobs in Milan and are now moving... with 2009 we'll be living here in our beautiful house in Noto.
Here, the weather is hot and sunny and it's great for working outside: yesterday we've started the harvest and it seems to be excellent and abundant!
We've prepared all the tools we needed to start and have gone through a very tiring and exciting day of work: we are harvesting only with our hands, it's long but you really come to know all your trees leaf by leaf. As always, our trees have done their best!
Enjoy (even if only with a picture) what just one tree is giving to us, we will be back very soon with news from the olive-press.
We've got to go back to work!
It's green, deeply scented but, most of all, soooo gooooood... harvest is finished and the resulted extra virgin olive oil is sleeping in big aluminium containers and is preparing, in one month and a half, to be bottled and to arrive in all your houses... just some more patience!
